OYPM drive
Continuous innovation and undertakings towards the creation of products of higher quality
and products with greater ingenuity
The OYPM (Osaka Yuki Productive Maintenance) drive involves comprehensive production activities that the whole company and all employees work on based on 5S activities (arrangement, order, neatness, cleanliness, and training, all start with "s" in Japanese.) Centered on the three core activities of equipment maintenance, education and training, and quality control, we continuously implement a total range of activities from the accumulation of creativity and ingenuity to quality control.
We are progressing the extermination of the "3Ms" (overload, waste, and irregularity all start with "m" in Japanese), the elimination of loss, the improvement of morals, the simplification and greater accuracy of quality control, co-ownership of information and improvements in the skill of employees.

Equipment maintenance
Equipment breakdowns lead to delays in production plans and can cause major trouble for customers. As a result, we are thoroughgoing in routine maintenance and management so that equipment breakdowns do not occur during production.
-
Quality control
Osaka Organic Chemical Industry has acquired ISO9001:2008 certification company-wide and we are aiming for synergistic effects with our OYPM drive to improve quality and increase customer satisfaction still further.

Education
Communicative education ... Acquisition of inspection skills for each individual item of equipment. We implement education using cut-out models of equipment or one-point lessons.
Comprehensive education ... Education in line with annual maintenance plans. We implement wide-ranging education including safety, quality and the environment.
Top-management diagnosis
Once a year (October), all executives from the CEO down go to each place of business to investigate, diagnose and also evaluate the half-yearly outcomes of the OYPM drive. The company hands out CEO commendations in accordance with the results of diagnosis, aiming to improve all employees' awareness of routine improvement.
