Application

LA is used for adhesives because of high Tg in the low polarity alkyl acrylate.
LA is also used for UV inkjet ink because of its lower odor.

Characteristics

Our LA is highly purified. Typical purity is over 99.5%. High purity induce low color, low viscosity, low quality validation.
Lauryl acrylate is made from renewal source so it helps your carbon-neutral business. Our LA is a single component but similar products made by other companies include not only C12 lauryl, but also C14 capryl and C10 decyl acrylate because of its alcohol nature. Lauryl acrylate Long alkyl chain moiety induces low viscosity, surface tension and polarity. LA is used for UV inkjet inks because of its soft and flexibilizing properties [1]. And it is also used for adhesives and finishes because of its slippage. Recently high purity LA is investigated for polymer brush made by ATRP (Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization) with Stearyl acrylate [2], or fabrication of ultrahydrophobilc on silicon wafer [3].
